1975 Corvette - Won't Start
My 1975 Corvette won't start and am looking for some help.
I just bought a new battery for it as my old battery was dead from sitting for a year.
The car turns over but will not start. The interior lights do not dim I turn the key and the car does crank it just does not start.
any tricks or things i should check?
Thanks

Pull a plug wire and check for spark. Carefully. If you have your finger in the wrong place and it does make a spark, it's painful. No spark, it may be time for a cap and rotor, or maybe the module in the distributor or the coil died. As a quick test, disconnect the "TACH" lead from the distributor and see if it starts. Tach filters have been known to die and act like a kill switch.

If you have not started it for a year it will take some time to get the carb filled again. Pump the hell out the accellerator while you crank it. Keep it up 'till you smell gas.
