I have what appears to be a working Delco radio with the power amp for a 1969 Corvette that powers up, has green light in face and will power a speaker (static) but I don't have the 9 pin muliplex to go with the radio. Any way of testing the radio for operation without the multiplex? Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately no. Sounds like you have a stereo unit.
