I have found that when bench bleeding, take it slow. With the MC in a vise and a bleeder kit installed, push your phillips screwdriver in a little and hold. Let it back out. Repeat. Several times. Each stroke should go a little further into the MC.
Those piston seals inside are dry and until the brakefluid circulates in the bore there is a good chance you can damage the seals. Don't push the piston in any farther than
1 3/8".
After 10 mins of strokes on the level, adjust your vise so the nose of the MC is lower, 10 more mins of strokes, then adj, 10 mins with nose up. That should be the end of the bubbles. Leave bleeder kit on, install MC on car then pedal pump before hooking up steel lines.

Some guys are so quick to get that measely core charge, that they don't compare everything about the New part in comparison with the old part! Tip #1.
Tip #2 be ready to struggle with the pedal pin! To get it back in, walk away to rest your back and patience!
Tip #3 when you think you have it, the system bled, do it again!
Tip #4 make sure you have full pad engagement to the rotor on both sides at all calipers before you start. I like new brake pads in, when I am bleeding brakes!
That is enough as my contribution! I will leave a few so others can participate!

Thanks foe the suggestions, No preference on brake fluid, or is it all pretty similar? I am guessing that brake fluid is All synthetic so any brand will work fine.

Check dates on the fluid for some that hasn't sat on the shelf for years! Buy a quality brand make in a country with some semblance of quality control. If you are doing regular driving, a DOT 3 non-synthetic should be fine! If you are truly racing, then it would warrant researching for the hot product high temp capable DOT 4 brew! Don't buy big jugs, as they won't last on the shelf! Best to get multiple small bottles!

Was just looking at the box the MC came in. WARNING. Use of DOT 4 will void warranty.
Anybody that has done brake work on a C3 knows that you buy DOT3 in 55 gal drums. The "C" in C3 stands for the curse of the brake system and cuss at the brake system.
Good Luck

HAHAHAH at the very least you need 2 , 1 liter bottles. And a spare for when one of the calipers starts marking its spot.

Drifting
Bench bleed it first, it won't take ten minutes. Install with the bench bleed kit still installed, just before you tighten the metal lines, have a helper slowly press the pedal to push out any air. You should enjoy a nice firm brake pedal. Then, if you're brazen enough, bleed the system. I was a tech for many years, and never had a single problem bleeding brakes, except on MY CORVETTE.

DOT 5 is the stuff that won't mix with DOT 3/4.

3. A wedding reception w/o booze.
4. Boss's spouse blackmails you.
