Default Am/fm wiring diagram

Anyone happen to have a copy of the stereo wiring diagram for a 1978?? It has the stock stereo in it but it doesn't work. Any advice on the stereo is more than welcome as well haha

I tried and tried to get an original radio to work. Gave up after 3 attempts and went with a retrosound. Not looking back.

Did you use a newer looking head unit?? Do you mind uploading a photo? I'd like find something that looks original but has newer quality sound.

From the restrosound website...

https://www.retromanufacturing.com/p...ry#prettyPhoto

You can configure order it with chrome or black and various OEM style ***** by year.

There are lots of past threads on Restrosound. Make sure to search.

Some complain about the sound quality but I just wanted a working radio that looked close to stock that wasn't $500+.

Here is a pic of the Restrosound in my 69 from my very dark garage....

Under the umbrella of "while I was in there" I also changed the non-working clock to Quartz and added the Wilcox variable potentiometer to the temp gauge.
