V - Rated 15 Inch Tire - Galaxy R1 Radial GT RWL
Hello,
I just came across this in the German Corvette Forum, and read of a member putting These on his (yes Cobra) in the size 235/60/15, and 255/60/15. This is also a combination that clears and drives well with the 8 x 15 Rally's or any other 15 Inch Corvette wheels in that size. These Tires are V rated! (240 Kmh per Hour!!!) Seems like a pretty good tire to me, all other 15 Inch V rated tires are far more exoensive (Avon's, or Michelin XWX). So here my Question, is anybody using These - Galaxy R 1 Radial GT 95 V, 235 / 60 / 15 , 255 / 60 / 15 ?
Galaxy Tires belongs to the Alliance Tire Group of which consists of three brands. One of them is Galaxy. Alliance again belongs to Yokohama Rubber. Yoko's are pretty good tires!!

I bought some Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R N4 225/50ZR-15's to use for the TX Mile event. They are "Y" rated for 186+MPH. They are originally marketed for Porsche's. I had them mounted on 15" rally's. They're not very tall, but with a lowered car would be good.
I didn't end up using them and installed some 18"/17" wheels/tires for the event.
I've still got them if anyone in the DFW TX area needs them. Brand new....never run.
