1978 rear speaker box
I realize there are alot of posts about this but Not many post the dementions of the speaker box's people have built. Have y'all build o4 bought a box for speakers that fit in the back?? I'm wanting to build one but I'm not sure where to start.

I bought one off of eBay. I chose the one with two 6x9s and a 10 inch sub, and have a low pass filter applied to all of them. It sounds fantastic. Only the 4x6s in the dash handle the kids and highs to keep the sound stage up front.

I have seen some that were made out of 1/2" plywood, covered in a nice material that matched the interior carpet and even had the C3 flags dead center. The box was mounted high enough that the T-Tops could still slide underneath. It straddled the two wheel-wells somehow.

I built some for my 79 - Will post pics later after I get home. (EDIT - Pics below)

T-Tops fit in the back just fine with this approach.
