Brodix HV 2016 intake under L88 hood?
Has anyone tried the Brodix HV 2016 dual plane intake manifold under an L88 hood? The pad height is 5.175" which should work with an L88 drop base, however, the intake pad does not have any angle to it so it might get tight on the front side of the air cleaner.

I know this isn't the answer to your question, but to give you a thread bump....
The Performer RPM air gap will just BARELY clear an L88 hood with the 2" drop base L88/LT1 air cleaner... I mean like 1/4" or less...but it will clear.
And it is by far the best dual plane intake on the market... You can make 700 hp with an RPM air gap.

I know your car runs like a scalded dog with one, that's for sure. After a long conversation with Mark at Bullet Cams, he strongly encouraged me to use something with more plenum volume on a 500 inch motor. The Brodix and the Weiand Stealth both have a cut down divider and bigger runners than the Edelbrock Air Gap.
You could have the divided milled down on an RPM air gap also...
I SERIOUSLY doubt a Stealth will outperform an RPM air gap in any data point. A long time ago, Mark Jones used to occasionally use a Stealth on stock appearing type builds and 468s..... Now he exclusively uses the RPM air gap. He is now getting 690-700hp out of 496s with oval port iron heads and an air gap....so the intake will support some power.
For more then 700hp, you are probably in the Victor Jr range or the old 454-O.... And even they will need some clean up work.
John Wilson's 496" made 765 hp with a ported Vic Jr and a 1000hp carb......with iron 782 ovals at that... That car ran 9.30s. VortecPro power....

I can only go by what smart people say and what I can see through my own experience. Mark is doing some incredible things with stock heads, dual planes and small cams. Most people cannot replicate his results. On my own builds I have to play the averages, and most people are saying the Air Gap will lay over well before my 6,500 rpm goal on a 500 inch motor. Half of a carb feeding that many cubes just doesn't work for most.

I have a buddy that has a budget built 502 with some home ported 049s, big Lunati HR cam (252/263) and it had a home ported Dart single plane intake...with a King demon carb it made 626hp at 6500....He used to shift it at 6800... Ran 10.0s@132 in a 67' Camaro... That engine was built in the early 2000s so pretty old tech but...It got the job done. It needed 4.10s and an 8" converter to work well though. It went through the traps at 6600 so it had plenty of rpms.
