These are my cam specs: when I called comp cams I told them what engine I was rebuilding and I just wanted a little cam that would idle a little crazy.
I don't know what these #s mean if someone could tell me if it would perform well enough with a tunnel ram.

Secondary blocks are used so you can use screw in jets on the secondary side instead of a metering block.
Tieing the vacuum secondaries insures that both carbs open at the same rate. Both are excellent suggestions to explore

Thanks 7t9,
Just read that the Holley 660s are set up just for tunnel rams. Too bad they're twice the cost.

660's are great race carbs...not so great street carbs without some work. They have 1 to 1 linkage so all 4 bbls open together...not progressive primary/secondary. They also use a 50cc accelerator pump and a "center squirter" so that the pump shoots fuel down all 4 bbls at the same time. Works great if they all open together.

I used a set on the street with some mods. I took a grinder the linkage that operated the throttles and opened the slot to delay secondary opening. I restricted the idle circuit also. When done they drove great...literally used it for my daily driver...and they idled clean and never fouled a plug.

But there are easier ways to do it and drive nicer on a mild combo.

That cam is pretty mild. It will make it drive better...but tunnel rams like higher RPM and airflow...so about the time it really wants to get going that cam will be on the downhill side.

Those 600's will be real slow opening up.........and will need some tuning also to run right.

This is going on my Big block duster at some point? I am making 525 hp now and 552 tq with dual plane and single AED750 carb. The carbs are 600's with secondary metering plates. By the time i bought the two carbs, and assorted parts to repair them, and Holley kits etc i have close to $1000.00 into them. They are vacuum secondaries as well.

How about a tunnel ram with twin throttle bodies and port fuel injectors? You will get the look and probably better driveability.

That sounds like a better option but I'm sure out of my budget.I was hoping to find a nice used set up and rebuild the carbs and see how it goes for less than a grand.

Boy that is really close..
I've read more good articles about Holleys over Edelbrock. I may contact the seller and see if the seller would consider just selling the intake. The plenum on that intake may look a little large for me though.
Going to call Summit and Jegs tomorrow and get there recommendation. Thanks 3x2 for doing some research for me. I appreciate everyones input on this. I may be crazy but I just want it to run descent all around and LOOK really COOL..

That's a cool old edlebrock. Check out the two different sized ports. One for the "good" port and one for the "bad " port on. BBC.
