So I'm attempting to fix my tachometer. I had previously removed this filter which was attached by the distributor to test if that was the problem


And then today I was attempting to take the dash apart so I could replace the tach board. As i got the dash pad off - I noticed this. It looks like the same filter, but it's behind my gauges and sitting against my steering column. Is this a second tach filter? It's connected to a brown wire, which is the same color as the connector to the tach

There is one behind the tachometer and one attached to ignition switch on steering column, and another on backside of center gauge cluster.
