Sounds like POL did not use impala arms to develop their corvette ones but maybe they did, just doesn't sound like it from their post. if the geometry is good than that is fortunate for those that have already bought a set seeing as these stamped control arms bend in ways that are difficult to notice when wrecked. I bough a set of control arms years ago that looked fine, took the car to get aligned and they could not get it into spec, come to find the arms came off a wrecked car. Just suggesting that POL double check all the measurements of their jig/pattern against the arm that is getting sent to then. No harm in double checking, maybe they already did that with a set of impala arms but its hard to tell from their post
Good point. I should know when I go for alignment.

I spoke with the folks at POL a few moments ago. My lower control arms just returned from powder coating this morning and will ship out Monday morning. The representative took a quick cellphone pic showing the steering stop.

Eddy .. I ordered my uppers and lowers before you shipped yours back. I received the uppers early this week. I spoke with Brandon at POL around Christmas and he said the updated lowers would most likely ship first week of Jan, second week at latest. I've heard nothing since. Who did you speak with and did he mention anything regarding general availability of updated lowers? Thanks for the update!

Mark, I spoke with Brandon this morning. I didn’t ask specifically about availability of more control arms but from speaking with JC last week I believed they were working on retro fitting all the lowers they had built. I would give Brandon or JC a call Monday. Those guys have been super helpful.

I had read a lot of reviews of POL, some good and some bad. I decided to take a chance and order their upper control arms. I received them the other day and am very happy. POL was very responsive throughout. They even called me to let me know that they were behind in production and my order would be delayed a few extra days. They even offered to send me a t shirt by way of apology. The arms look top notch and their customer service is more than I could ask for.

Thanks for the input, I know that I will not hesitate to do future business with POL. JC, Brandon and Kyle have been nothing but helpful and pleasant to deal with, they have taken every call I have placed and answered every question.
BEJ, please add photos when you install if possible.

Very nice arms and installation.
Those look close to my Van Steel arms.

Hi, wondering if you got your install and alignment finalized and what the numbers were? Mine are installed but it will be spring time before I go for an alignment, unless I try it at home.

How much positive caster were you able to get out of it? Did you go for the Max?
Thanks

Hey '75, enjoying the snow? Yes, I got the front all done. After everything, my final numbers came to LH camber -0.50, RH camber -0.060, LH caster +4.25, RH caster +4.50, total toe 3/16" In. Unfortunately, after putting the car back to stock ride height and replacing the rear strut rods with heim jointed ones, I still have a toe out issue with the left rear. The strut rod bushings were pretty much shot when I replaced them, so I suspect the trailing arm bushings are in the same shape, causing the toe out problem. So, I ordered the Van Steel trailing arm rebuilding kits and found a shop in Mundelein that will rebuild them and align the car. That
will be done sometime in March.

No snow from Thanksgiving till now, I was hoping to go the rest of winter without, but that's unrealistic. Sounds like nice numbers, did you have to shim extra on the rear of the uppers to get the caster or is it due to the control arm change? I've done several trailing arms, got the tool to compress and flare the bushing and an old spindle sanded down for bearing set-up, if you're interested in using them or want some help, let me know.

I believe TRZ manufactures the arms for Van Steel. Not 100% sure.

Thanks for giving me an excuse to pull the car cover back. It's been covered since Thanksgiving. As you can see, most all of the positive caster is from the control arms themselves. I suspect the reason for the larger amount of shims on the left side versus right is due to frame sag. And once again, thank you for your offer regarding the trailing arms but, I've been working on steering and suspension since the end of August 2017 when I was just "going to replace the lower control arm bushings and coil springs while I'm there". If you've been reading my posts since then, you know the frustrations I've encountered. I think I only put about 150 miles on it last year, and those were mostly test drives, chasing down the twitchy steering thing. So, I figured I'll find someone to rebuild the arms and I should be done with it so I can enjoy driving it again. But, I may PM you if I need anything in the future.

Check Van Steel's pricing for rebuilding your trailing arms.

I used the new lower arms also, so hopefully that wont change the numbers from what you have.
