And you were expecting?

Try J&D Corvettes. Probably the same or more.

Ok, I thought a "front clip" was only the fiberglass fenders, and front part of car. This is what i think i need.

Have you priced it out new from the various Corvette places? If you only need the outer fiberglass, its cheaper. But Steve is probably throwing in a bunch of other stuff as well. Find out what you need versus what is included in what Steve is offering.

Dave, I do not live too far from Whittier, I could come up and help you get a list of what you will need for your project. I am no expert by any means, but I did just completed a frame off restoration on my 68. My fee is one cold beer. My step dad is also a huge car guy as well and I could drag him along.

Default vette

Have any pictures of what you are dealing with. Have you ever removed or installed a front clip?
Price seem very reasonable.

I would think the front clip one corvette would be a little more challenging then a metal car. The one piece unit and the difficulty of some of the adhesive points are very difficult to remove. The good thing is it is all do able and many have done it. The forum is a great place for gaining the experience.
Good Luck, and keep us posted.

As mentioned, I think we need to define exactly what is meant by a front clip for this particular corvette. On other cars that term can even be used to say the entire front half of a car. Like you took a chain saw just behind the firewall and everything forward of that is part of the front clip, including suspension. In this case it sounds like only body panels are needed, which would be significantly cheaper. Pics please.

YEP..I have to see photos of the damage which is causing for the front clip to be totally replaced or otherwise.

Although it is not impossible to do...to get one off without creating more damage can be a challenge...but as stated in the quote above....it is do-able.

There's no damage. I just wanna change it back to a '71 instead of having a "Franken-Vette". Some of you have seen the pics posted and said that the front is from a '73 or '74.
