Default 1972 Corvette LT1 Power draw through alternator

My battery has been loosing power and I checked all of the circuits through the fuse block and could not find the power draw. ( .055 amps.)
I then disconnected the hot wire to the alternator and found that eliminated the .055 amp draw.
Any suggestions as to what might be wrong with the alternator.
It is the original numbers matching alternator.
Thanks in advance.
Jim

The Diode Trio is likely bad - allows "leakage" across the diode.

Cheap, easy to find, and easy to replace.

Thanks,
I replaced the diode about 3 years ago when I restored the car.
I will check it and buy another.
Thanks very much for your help.

If you're handy with a meter you can test your current one.
Probably a 100 youtube videos on this.
Years ago mine leaked across the diode and killed the battery a few times before I traced it down to the alt.
