You start out with a vague post that kinda sorta has a backwards question in it if you read hard enough, followed by insulting people on the forum because they (like me) did not read that there was a question in your original post. Are you truly shocked that this is what you get?

Anyway, to answer your (now) question: Without understanding the components that went into the engine there is absolutely no way to give you anything better than a wild guess as to the power that you are producing. Cam and head specs will get you 90% of the way there.

I see no reason to keep bashing OP .This serves nothing .And makes everyone look like a jerk on this site .
Ask to clarify question is one thing .All the rest is non-sense that goes on and on with other forums .Lets ride above this please .

Pull a valve cover and you can get a decent measurement of the valve lift. Pull a plug and get a cheap ebay borescope and you can tell if you have flat, dish or domed pistons. Get casting number off heads to get a guesstimate what they are.

I'm wondering if there's a Crane cam in this "storker" engine.

Approx what rpm does the engine start pulling hard and when does it stop?
That will give an idea of how much cam you have.
Sorry I can't be more helpful, but we have some very experienced people on this forum!

I guess that I don't know as much as you guys. Sorry. But it starts pulling hard at 20 mph then it seems to start letting go at about 50 mph does that sound about right?

I tell you what guys. I'll put on the Dyno in the spring. Then I'll find this thread, and tell you what it makes.

I know nothing about you so don't take anything personally. There have been a lot of guys in the past that have come on that have asked the same question and gotten mad that they couldn't get an answer because no one can see inside their engine. Unfortunately the mods that you could tell us about are ones that can have a wide effect on the torque and horsepower numbers. As said before the number can be 200 to 500 horsepower. Is there a chance that you received paperwork from the engine builder? There should be part numbers on the invoice that will tell you what the interior components are pistons (dome size), camshaft (lift and duration) and heads (combustion volume and ports sizes) these will all help to give an estimate. BTW I would choose to take the ribbing in stride it might not be meant to come across as harsh as it did. The keyboard is a poor filter for tone. And be glad that you didn't ask the same questions on the Yellow Bullet forum.....those guys are harsh. Anyway I hope that you stick around and enjoy what can be learned and enjoyed from these cars David

And speakin' of dynamometer testing, any idea of what it costs in your area?

I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I picked one up a while back. You really offered no info on parts installed other than a 650 Holley. I'm gonna change the gaskets and, that I'm hoping will give me a better idea of what I have. I do know it has rollers and Camel back heads.

Hey guys I just took it out for dark Michigan night. And I really haven't had it long enough to run the crap out of it.I put in first gear (Automatic) At a 20 mile per hour roll,And it took off like a bat , I've only have had this car for a week. And it smokes the tires for about 10 feet, then I shifted to second and it chirped the tires and went a little sideways,So I feel that it's as fast as my 2003 Z06! Like I say the dyno will tell the truth. And by the way the dyno will cost me a 100 bucks. Because I've been there 3 times. Its like joining a club. The first time you pay 100 dollars.

I can't wait to have it have it on a Dyno. Can you put a blower on a carb?
