Yes, I have put a carburetor insulator and re-did the fuel supply line as shown below (version 3.0) - I have done a couple of short loop tests in warmer weather than the failed attempts and they were all successful! The new fuel filter does touch the intake manifold so I will re-plumb it yet again but this time I will put a dual-feed line - its probably more for looks than anything else but still. I have not declared victory yet but I am close. Probably after this weekend.
