So the .63 5th will give you lower revs than the .75 5th? Trying to work out which one to go for I’ve got a 3.08 rear.

My 77 had 3.08's and the .63 5th gear.

I didn't like it so I change the rear to 3.70 .

Much better, now I feel its the best of both worlds.

Just my opinion.

Yes a .63 will give lower revs than a .75. #math

Everyone will like different things, some like a 1500 rpm and others like 2500 rpm on the highway.

Also, if your engine is a torque machine and is out of breath by 4300 rpm then you might be able to get away with a lower 5th gear.

You have to decide what you want it to behave like.

That being said most people would opt for a .75 with a 3.08 rear gear.

I have a .63 5th and a 3:36. It is a touch too low rpm on the highway than I like but my high compression ZQ3 make a lot of torque just off idle so it works.

You will have to check the listing but I do not believe there are any 'U' code WCT5's with a .75/.73 and a mechanical speedo?

but the 87 and older camaro trans are non-WC. limits us to 88-92 years. the mustang v8 is much more plentiful. 1st about 12% deeper. 2nd close. 3rd virtually identical. OD is .68 which is halfway between the .63 which is too low for 3.08's and the .73 which is too high for anything higher.

You can try with this, there are other also. But this can give you an idea.
Use the TKO 600 0.64, it is close to 0.63 T5 tranmission in ratios.

My car is:
3.70 rear
27" tyre hight

@2000RPM it will be 68mph
@1750 = 59mph
@1500 = 52mph

GREAT POINT!!!And a manual f body is not very common. They didn’t make a lot. I owned 3! Couldn’t find a manual-ever!I am gonna search for mustang ones—-what year fox body? Gotta say...a little part of me feels it is downright WRONG to put a ford trans in a Chevy. Just the OCD. But am willing to bend my morals for the sake of performance.

Well, a T5/T5WC is not a GM or Ford transmission, it's a Borg-Warner transmission :- )

So the 1352 176 code box is the 1988 gm v8 with the 0.63 5th. The 176 only came with the 0.63 5th gear, Is that right? The gm v6’s look to have the 0.73/76 5ths.

Yes you are correct, 1352-176 is a unique number for that transmission only with the 1352-176 ratios only.

in fact, the V6's after 92 use the Ford bellhousing pattern. But it's leaning over at that funny stupid angle and it's a deeper bellhousing with the longer input shaft. And it's a 3.8 bellhousing pattern, not a standard small block. And the Mustang use the world class from 85 on. The transmission is essentially unchanged in Mustangs for close to 10 years. Fact there's one quite near me that the guy wants three hundred bucks for. I'm not ready to do this yet. This is down in the Philadelphia area is also another one in the junkyard in this area also $300. Somebody interested in either post it or shoot me a PM I'll get a hold of them. I need to get my 75 cleared Salvage and alive before I start worrying about any upgrades.

And I believe the Ford is about a half inch longer input shaft, which is taken up by the 175 buck adapter plate I posted earlier.
