Not looking to make long black stripes on pavement. 4 speed L48 car. So I assume 3.35 rear. A V6 Camaro T5 fell into my lap. 3.5 1st gear. So I am thinking 2.73 or maybe even 2.56 gears if non-vette gears fit our differentials.

I do not know the answer to your question but I would think a 3.08 would be fine. 3.5*3.08=10.78. 2.95*3.55=10.47

Only Vette gears will fit. It is not a standard 10 bolt rear. 3.08 was the lowest you could get from GM but I do recall seeing an aftermarket 2.73 but I don't know if they are still available.

Ratios aside, the standard GM 10-bolt or 12-bolt ring/pinion for conventional diff's DO NOT fit Corvette diff's. The Corvette is a 10-bolt design, but the gears are different and not interchangeable.

Gordon, 273 were available from Tom's but no longer. I setup a set for my buddy about 8 years ago with a ST-10 M20, I didn't want to but he insisted and likes it. A real slug off the line but the 264 1st gear allows it- sort of. There wasn't enough interest from guys so they were pulled from production.
