I was hoping someone might know where to find correct polished pulleys. I'm putting a 383 stroker engine in and want to dress it up. Having the hardest time finding a polished water pump pulley for the 79 with 3/4 pilot hole. Found a crank case pulley at ecklers but is narrower than stock and has 3/8 belt grooves vs. standard 1/2 grooves.
Anyone have any advise on a polished or chrome set up that would be same as stock so everything lines up.
Thanks
Also wondered if you could just buy a regular short water pump with 5/8 pilot and buy new fan or do they have some type bushing? whatever might get the polished set up on there the easiest.

Yes you can buy a new short 5/8 water pump.
I bought a new 3/4 pump and fan from summit. The fan had a 5/8 pilot bushing in it to reduce it from the 3/4 whole. Removing it, it test fit fine but then realized the pulleys were all 5/8. I threw it in the drawer and ordered a new 5/8 pump to match my pulleys. I didnt want to mess with drilling them out to fit. It all bolted together fine then decided on installing an electric fan..........
Maybe you could look into electric before you get to far into a new clutch fan. It will give you 20 more horsepower and better cooling if your stuck in traffic
