I have one on the way, just wanted to see if/what headaches they had with the DMV. I have another thread related to this subject, but I figured someone out there (likely a handful Id guess) have done the actual SRIII change and had some first hand experience with this scenario.

Not 100% sure, but DMV seems to be all about the vin tag on the body.

Vintage cars like the Model T, the CHP rivets an ID tag to the frame.

Smog is all about the year model.

No need to worry. They just do a once over and look at VIN and door tag.

I had an SRIII chassis a long time ago. Very nice chassis, but huge project...had suspension, engine and trans bolted in..Then ran out of enthusiasm as I pulled the bird cage out and too much time/money to get back together. Best of luck!
