Default Clearing the air on JRi Shocks

We’ve recently heard rumors that JRi Shocks where being built by Fox Shocks. This is untrue. JRi prides themselves on building their own shocks to a very high level of quality and performance right here in the USA.

Built on the backbone of racing, from NASCAR to Baja Off-Road racing, JRi shocks are built to perform. Located in Mooresville, North Carolina, they have the engineers, technicians, and know how to build some of the baddest shocks for your Mid-Year Corvette.

A few points of interest direct from JRi:
  • Nitrogen charged for added consistency providing better performance and longevity
  • All shocks are threaded for coilovers but can be used without.
  • Allow for dynamic low speed and high speed control optimizing handling and providing enhanced response time
  • Upgrade performance in a multitude of applications- daily driving, advanced street use, autocross and competitive on-track use
  • Shocks were developed in-house utilizing real-world testing by our good friend and racer Danny Popp of Raft Motorsports, Seven-Time SCCA Solo II National Champion`
  • Specific valving is available for street, road course and drag racing applications

We offer complete Van Steel JRi Coilover Kits for the C3's.

We can also get JRi's for vintage racers that need to retain their stock lower control arms but want adjustable shocks.

Are they really worth the $1100 more than the QA1 shocks?

If you understand the value of a good shock, there is no doubt that these shocks will out perform time and time again and stay consistent. No matter if your a street car, track car or dual purpose car. Don't get me wrong, we think QA1's are a great entry level shock, you just can't beat monotube shocks over twin tube shocks.

Do you offer JRi's as a non-coilover application?

All shocks would have a threaded body. The issue is that monotube shocks are longer than twin tube shocks and do not package as well. Up front the fix is easy to make them work. In the rear, you would have to fab up a lower shock mount to bring it down so you have enough travel.
