Holley gets their tanks from Tanks inc!.. Also Holley techs told me that the GP2 pump I got from tanks inc was great for my Application GM ZZ5

All the way over to the left and all the way to the top. it's just above the fuel level by the looks of it.

Does anyone have a ballpark for how much it would cost for a shop to install one of these would be? It's probably out of my league installation wise, I can fix all the vacuum tubes and electrical things, but this is probably too much.

I'm trying to decide whether to install this or buy a new engine with EFI. My current engine is a non-numbers matching base 350, so this could be a big upgrade to it...but at the same time, it might be worth it just to swap the whole thing depending on what the price difference would be.

Considering I've never changed my own oil, it's a pretty big leap, lol. I'm basically comfortable working on anything that won't cause a major reliability problem or if it's already broke.

The serpentine system is that of GM. It came with the engine and the Compressor it is a Sanden. It also came with my Vintage Air set up. The compressor here is the one that came with engine too but was eventually removed to make room for the Sanden.

I have The same set up. And I just ordered the vintage air kit, but I didnt Have them include the compressor because I wanted To use the original bracket. Does the Sanden compressor fit into the bracketing or did you have to use the supplied brackets by vintage?

You'd be surprise how easy it is. The hardest or challenging part was finding a welder to weld in the Oxygen sensor bung in place since I wanted to minimize burn marks on the ceramic coated header., which I just ended up taking it to a muffler shop after I drilled the 1" hole for it.. after that I wanted to do the process in the comfort of my home garage although I have a shop with 2 lifts and compressors available down the road from my house. All in all had the fuel pump and main unit not been manufacturer defects it would have been too easy. One tech suggested that it might have been a installation issue which I immediately shot down.. It's a 5 wire hook up. Battery +, Battery - ,Pink wire to Switched/Cranking 12v , Yellow wire to Coil Neg, for RPM signal, and blue for Electric pump. the other harness cable hook ups are for Coolant sensor , Oxygen sensor and one brown wire to my dash Tach and the handheld unit. the only other choices you might want to consider is internal or external pump...

my neighbor was a Vintage air dealer and he ordered the Sanden compressor mount to adapt to the serpentine bracket. it looks like a half moon , 2 pieces and they fit like a glove. and no the sanden compressor did not fit in the original bracket

Here's a better picture of how the Brackets look like with the Sanden compressor

Keep in mind that an EFI unit only upgrades your horsepower/torque by plus or minus 5 HP or so over a tuned carb. However, idle, starting, cold engine operation, low speed operation, and fuel efficiency are normally considerably better with EFI.

Yep, that's what I'm looking for. I want it to be dependable just like our other cars. Not that it's undependable now, but it's difficult for people like my wife to drive it since it doesn't act like her car. The choke and stuff make it harder for her. And when I only drive it once a week at most, the EFI would help that a lot I think.
