Default 77 Corvette

Hello, I'm a new member today. Bought a 77 vette, L82 automatic. Was in storage for 22 years and needs a lot of fixing. Looking for the original air cleaner, but dont know if the L82 came with a single or dual snorkle air cleaner assembly ? Can anyone help ?
Thanks, jamaker

Congrats on the 77. My advice would be to purchase the assembly instruction manual (AIM) to assist with your car.

Good photo reference here:

The L-82 had a single snorkel with a cold air intake going above the radiator.

Here's a couple of my '77 L82 underhood photos to get you started. It's been kept pretty original.

Thanks Rev, I appreciate the photos. I have the same rocker arm covers with a small chrome air cleaner. The EGR valve is missing as well as the duct work on top of the radiator. The vent tube is missing so all the vapors are expelled under the hood. The car is all original except for the breather system and exhaust, which has headers.

Buy an NCRS Judging Guide For 1977. It will answer 99% of the detail and correctness questions you have not even thought of yet.

Make a list and plan a trip to Corvettes at Carlisle in August.

You will find pretty much everything you will be looking for.

Yep.....I would if I were you.........I hope you realize my comment was in jest....and cause I own a 77. Heh, I am allowed to be proud. Truth is, if I could have 69 427 Black with red interior, I would be happier, or maybe a 73 big block?? Anyways, I love them all.
