My 80 383 with has been running fine since I put the quadajet from National carbs on a year ago. When I drove it the other day it started fine and ran good until it worms up. I drove it two more times and it still does it. I took the carb apart and looked around twice. didn't see anything wrong. I looked at the underside where the idle circuit was drilled and epoxied and no fuel. I checked the filter and needle and seat all looked ok. The float worked. When I remove one of the small vacuum lines the idle cleans right up so its got to be rich. Any ideas?

Choke? Sounds like your choke plate is in the wrong position.

No I adjusted the choke so its all the way open.

when you had it open did you check the float level?
did you check if the float is leaking/gasoline loaded?
did you try adjusting the idle mixture screws and if so do they cause the rpm to drop as you turn them clockwise?
