Need exhaust 1972 Auto 350 ?? Where and what?
I am in need of a full system ( from STOCK manifold back ) on a 1972 350 auto car. Is Aluminum all that is a available? Would like stainless if its not crazy $$. The motor is stock other than Dart aluminum heads ( SHP 180cc 2.02 / 1.6 ) and roller tip rockers. Looking for a good cruiser...not a race car. A calm yet nice sound...NOT too loud. Any recommendations as to what specifically to buy and from whom?
Thanks, Dean

Lots of folks have had good luck with Corvette Central:

Hi Dean,
"Is Aluminum all that is a available? "
The exhaust systems that many folks use are steel with an aluminum coating on them which does a good job of stopping the rust.
"Would like stainless if its not crazy $$"
The stainless steel systems tend to be more $ than the aluminized systems, but not enough to stop most folks from having one if stainless steel is what they want.
I agree that checking out the exhaust systems from Corvette Central is a good idea.
Regards,
Alan

I agree, Corvette Central complete exhaust systems are very nice. Check the price on Wilcox Corvette. The run great sales every week or so. Just check to make sure they are drop shipping from Corvette Central.

Go with the stainless. I put stainless on my 74 too many years ago to remember where I got it. It might have been Mid America. The system still looks like the day I installed it and it has to be at least 15 years old, maybe more.

I have had a Corvette Central system on my car for about 25 years. The pipes show no sign of rusting out anytime soon (although I did paint them.) The mufflers did rot off about 5 or 10 years ago but they come with a lifetime warranty. I shipped them back with a copy of the original invoice (knew I kept that stuff for a reason), and they sent me a new set of mufflers, no questions asked.
