i'm looking to paint my pulley and noticed a red paint mark on the back side of the pulley where the part number is. Is this mark significant and if so can someone tell me what it's for?

if the mark cant be seen when the pulley is mounted I cant imagine it would be of significance even in NCRS judging. Are you sure nobody sprayed the block with orange paint and it is over spray that has changed color?

Thank you for the response - it is not overspray. It is a mark - looks the same color as the body color (mille miglia red). Just wanted to make sure I didnt paint over it if it needs to be marked for some reason.
