1976 T-Tops won't sit properly
When I got the car the t-tops had no problem going in, but they also had no weather stripping. Since then I have installed weather stripping and when I did, I decided it would be a good idea to polish the hard wear ( the tabs that go in the Center of the car and the shark tooth looking thing on the corner). I have tried to adjust it to fit but it's too hard. Any tips on how to fix this?

did you check out the shims available from Corvette suppliers to adjust the tabs?

seems like without a picture the issue you are having is not too clear

I'm somewhat of a similar issue. I'm having trouble with a small leak between the front edge of the T-Tops and front edge of windows. This is after installing new weather strip. There's a very small gap between the weather strip on the T-Tops and the body of the car. Anyone know of a solution?

Hi,
When all four of the adjustments are completed the entire roof panel will need to be tipped up about 4"-6" along it's OUTER edge when installing it.
This allows the 2 'tongues' to 'seat' in their 'receivers' in the center bar, but the weatherstrip isn't yet compressed.
As the outer edge of the roof panel is lowered so the 2 roof panel latches can be set, the weatherstrip along the center bar is compressed and seals.
Closing the 2 latches then compresses the weather strip along the windshield header, halo, and side window.
Regards,
Alan
You can see in these photos how closing the latches compresses the weatherstrip to make the seal. There's no seal until the panel is in place and the latches tight.
