Default 69 corvette seat hardware bolts

Hi All,

I was looking to replace the lower latch catch mounting bolts as the driver's side seat was missing one of the screws. I ordered a replacement set from zip corvette. As you can see from the picture the hardware is mounted with mismatched screws.

The bolts from zip corvette are bolts not screws and don't seem to fit and I don't want to force them. I have checked the AIM part numbers and everything seems correct.

I am a bit confused...is the seat not a 68-69 seat then? Latch catch with screws
Replacement bolts

they are supposed to be bolts not screws. Are you saying the AIM shows screws? Did you remove the existing screws to determine if they are sheet metal screws or machine screws?

that is 69 latch, use an awl to make sure your lined up with holes.
remove bracket find holes, verify if the holes are tapped with threads,
or just a hole for sheet metal screw. the threads could also be stripped and the hole enlarged, from previous wrong screws.

See below the AIM. Screw zeems to be used interchangeably will bolt. Based on the part number it should be a bolt.

I will check for threads in the hole.

I physically can't tighten the bolt without exerting a bit of force which tells me t he hole isn't enlarged.i It feels like the bolt is too small.
