Very nice. If I wasn't a Turbo guy and had the money, that would be very tempting.

I have not tried Corvette Express yet. Do they really seem to know these cars? Are they pricey?

Not sure what pricey would be.... Most of the previous work I did myself so compared to that, yeah, everyone is pricey ;-)

PM me and I'll give you details if you like. :-)

Customer service was top notch, they kept me well informed through out the entire process and were very knowledgeable about my car. I'm not expert myself but from what I have experienced, I would say they know 'Vettes pretty well.

496 BBC in my '75.

Originally ran a '69 tri-power setup to stay under the stock hood. Used both the stock carbs and a Mopar mechanical secondary setup. Decided to upgrade to EFI and had a custom 3x2 Tri-Power port EFI setup made. System has 3 two barrel throttle bodies on a progressive linkage on a heavily modified Edelbrock dual-quad manifold under the air cleaner. Fast XFI 2.0.

Also went with a March serpentine belt setup and PS with remote reservoir. Car has a T-56 Magnum and Tom's 3.73 12-bolt diff built by Gary Ramadi. Goal ended being to make the car look like it could have rolled off the GM line if GM had all this technology in 1975.

Corvette Express did the safety inspection on my 73 when I purchased it.
I had them repair the couple of things they found that needed to be replaced.
I was very satisfied with there customer service and haven't had any issues with the work they did.
I just wish they were open on the weekends.

Thanks. Lots of work and effort but worth the payoff. It can sit for three weeks, I walk out, depress the clutch (safety switch), key to run for 3-5 sec to get pressure up and then crank it. Fires right up without ever touching the gas. Tuning is so easy. Decided to change advance at idle from 15 to 25 BTDC. Open laptop, change two cells, done (had to tweak idle stop a hair since more advance smoothed out the idle but that was easy).

Truly awesome, Steve.
I really love what you did there; EFI TRI-Y 496 that other than the fuel rails looks like it should. I've not seen this before; super cool.

When even your mains caps look like they belong on the space shuttle! -I really should pay more attention because I've never seen splayed 4 bolt mains caps that use both studs and bolts before.

JB, it runs great now. Definitely a big boost in power. Since I also rebuild the entire suspension at the same time, budget was tight on the motor and I didn’t have enough to go retro roller so I kept the stock cam in but went to the 1.6 rockers. I removed all smog stuff and added long tube headers with an x-pipe exhaust during the head and intake swap so hard to say how much just the heads and intake did but all of that really changed the car and made it much more enjoyable. Looking back I wish I had just done the roller cam but I plan on installing a new radiator this winter so I might do it while I have that out.

Nice!!!

I ran my stock L-82 with no emissions at all (no EGR/NO evap junk/No AIR injection/no lean carb jetting/no stock retarded emissions timing), dual 2.5 exhaust pipes with turbo mufflers, no restrictive Stock cat, roller tipped comp cams rockers, KN Airfilter, etc starting in 1983. OMG...The stock engine ran so much better for years until the rebuild/upgrade in 2014. In fact, this very same stock type motor did 233 RWHP on a dynojet....233 RWHP!!!! almost with a totally stock L-82 internals motor which is about 300 Gross HP. Remember the stock L-82 had 220 NET hp in 1978/225 Net HP in 1979 (more free flowing stock mufflers was the ONLY difference).

The current motor is completely rebuilt with AFR heads, moderate Roller Cam with .525 lift versus the stock .450/.460, and 10.2 compression. A completely different animal now.......
