Default Oil Pressure Sender Thread Size Question

I'm converting my 73 from mechanical to electric oil pressure gauge. I've got an AC Delco pressure sender which has a thread size of 1/8-npt. This would fit in the intake with the 45 degree elbow. I wanted to put it above the oil filter which is 1/4-npt. Can I use a brass reducer at this location with this sender without affecting the accuracy? Thanks fopr the help/
