My 69 wiper motor has the small auxiliary pump on
The driver side of the pump. Were does the line for
The headlight washers go? On the end or underneath?
And the windshield washer line. I think I have them mixed up.

I was afraid you were going to say that. That’s how mine are .
My problem is they the washers come on with the wiper switch.
As long as the wipers are on the washers stay on. Maybe someone will have an idea. Thanks for showing me that .

Is it possible that you installed the wiper switch upside-down? It IS possible for it to be installed in that manner. (Or the connector could be installed in reverse fashion.)

The washer pump operation is controlled by the wiper motor. By pressing the wiper switch button a "hook" (sure that is not the right term) in the wiper motor engages (operated by a simple coil getting power by pressing the switch) in order to operate the washer pump. It will be mechanically released after a few squirts.

So it could be a problem with the wiper motor release mechanism, the coil operating the "hook" or with the wiper switch (not opening the circuit after pushing the button, so the coil will be engaged all the time, but this would burn the coil after some time).

That’s sort of what happened before. The resistor in the old pump
Was burnt up . I finally bought a new pump from Willcox. Seems to do the same thing. New switch ,from them also. All new harness,new vacuum
Lines too. I keep filling up the bag under the fender. Ac. I hate to just give up and unhook them but I might have to. Everything else works fine. Thanks Jim
