She's alive after 30 years of sitting!

Finally got this '71 454 turned over after pulling it from a barn last June. I finally got it going but she is making a lot of clanking sounds in the mufflers. Not sure if that is from sitting or a larger issue. With any luck, the video link:

Rodents sometimes store stuff in the mufflers. Clanking and popping isn’t normal when starting a C3. What have you done to the engine to get it running?
How did you determine that the points/distributor were correctly set up? I’m guessing that the problem is in the ignition. The distributor is a tooth off, the wires are in the wrong place on the distributor. I chased a similar problem on a SBC that was due to the mechanic having the spark plug wires one terminal off.

thanks again for the info. I pulled the wires, broke out the schematic and started her up. It’s like night and day! Now it sounds like a C3!
