74 quadrajet rebuild shop SW michigan.
Appreciate any info you can provide. Im looking to have my quadrajet 4mv rebuilt. Im thinking about sending it to cliff ruggles but his turn around time is 5mos. Does anyone have a guy with same quality and faster lead time? TIA.

another vote for Lars.
turn around time was quick, even from the other side of the world to me.
sent him my carb and points dissy, made a huge difference when bolted back on my 72.

He did mine with a 7 day turn around...all I can say is amazing...should have sent him mine for a rebuild years ago!

I agree that folks who send carb to Lars should also send their distributor to him for testing and/or rebuild. Those two items are the most important 'variables' for proper engine operations. It is best to have them tuned properly as a "team". You cannot spend better money than to have them done by Lars.

Another satisfied customer of Lars for the carb rebuild. However, it seems his distributor machine is down for the count, and it sounded permanent. I hope he does get back in business though. I sent my distributor to another repair station, ( which seems, so far the equivalent of throwing it down a deep well hole), but we’ll see.

Lars rebuild my 4MV back around 2000-02. It has performed flawlessly since. That is with regular doses of 93 octane E10. I think I paid under $200 including shipping. He blueprinted, re-jetted and tested it. Short of a follow-up swap of the secondary metering rods (Lars sent for free and at his expense), the carb NEVER required adjustment since.
