I have a stock 76 l48 I want to run true duel exhaust no cross pipe but not sure on what mufflers my radio is on a shelf I like to hear my car thinking of dynomax free flow with 2 1/2 inch pipes nut sure what future holds kinda like all original engine numbers match not racing or showing just driving for fun

Hi , you can spend a lot of money on as expensive exhaust system. My 73 has straight dual exhaust with Walker Turbo's on it and sounds great. I get a lot of complements on the sound at shows and not loud at cruising speed. The best part is they are cheap . I think I paid about $50.00 a piece for them .

If you want a little sound get dynomax or magnaflow mufflers only two I will ever run. I tried various others from flow master, borlas and a few others and never had the right sound

Thanks for the input I am pretty set on dynomax super turbo mufflers with true duel and no cross pipe should give me good sound and a good amount of horsepower increase I am sure the 43 year old catalytic converter could use a break

Best overall hot rod sound (above post) you cant go wrong. Less restrictive, sounds better but you can hear yourself think. Mufflers dont make as much difference as some would believe unless youre making a TON of power. Who lives on the strip anyway?

Not surprisingly, I am not going with the popular choice. I have a chambered system but if I were going traditional mufflers I would be using Borla. I cannot find a C3 soundclip but here is a C4 with a before and after sound comparison. Love the rumble from these under throttle and an idle that is not obnoxious.
