1969 side pipe cover screw and clips?
HI all!,
what is usually recommneded for the side pipe covers for a 1969, it is for the top cover where the 6 screws get inserted onto metal clip/bracket looking things that side inside body slots under the doors...is it recommended to glue these into the body slots? dont want them to walk out b/c of BBC shaking...
Thanks!
Ron

the screw inserts should already be there from the rocker molding. If they arent they would install from the inside pointing out. That would sandwich the body

This what I am working with.
Should I glue the silver piece to the body to prevent shake out?
It appears to hold well like u say “sandwich”
But I want to fix once. Thoughts?

if your worried, install the covers so the blind nut is where it needs to be, then carfully remove the cover and apply some epoxy below the nut so it cant slide out. It shouldnt be an issue but if youre worried, go ahead, it wont hurt anything
