Default When polishing, I only use NOS polishing cloths

They're getting harder and harder to find, but if you want that true NOS shine they way they shone in the day, you can only use NOS polishing cloths from GM!

I could wear the T-shirt I got at a car show in 1972 while I'm polishing my 40 year old car with a 50 year old polishing cloth!

I have a compressor tank that was filled with air back in 1968. I will sell it in 1lb increments for $50/lb. Get that original air back into your tires or cabin now!

I've sold some old single quart NOS GM oil cans for more money than I think they should be worth. I assume it's collectors buying them?

I used to have a boat load of the 67 tri-power air cleaner filters I sold on eBay and one of the catch lines was that they were packed with the original air... (which they were) Your post made me laugh today.

But seriously... there are way to many choices of polishing compounds to be jacked up about a NOS GM polishing kit.

In all seriousness, I was working in a parts department of a Chevy dealer back in the 80's when GM started producing those things. We sold them by the caseload and I used them for EVERYTHING! I really wish that I had a bunch of them now.

I do recall them being wax impregnated and quite sticky, especially in warmer weather. They were fantastic for home dusting :-p

That said, I really can't believe that anyone could tell the difference between this polishing cloth or any of the hundreds of other options available today. If you can, more power to you!
