Door shims? How many on your car?
I need to replace the door shims on my car, bc they all disappeared along with a lot of other parts and money when the resto project went sideways years ago. I think I am going to finally try to finish this stupid thing. (I get to rebuild the engine again, bc original dude didn't seal the studs. So that's fun. I also get to rebuild the transmission bc he screwed that up, and I get to have some suspension work done because he also screwed that up. Basically I am starting over. With a bunch of parts. Sorry for the rant.)
How many door shims are on your car? They seem to only come individually. Obviously the number will vary, just trying to get a rough ballpark so I don't order way to many, or way to few... Thanks

Place a flat edge of a 12" ruler horizontally across the gap where the door and fro t fender meet. Buy enough shims to fill in the void under the ruler. Do the same technique for the bottom area of the DOOR. That will give you a close estimate....better to have a few too many than not enough/you can use the spare shims on the other door.

Awesome answer and the correct way...
No two cars are the same and the shims required per each installation can vary. Install the door and then check the needed gap and you'll be on track.
