Default 1969 Corvette 427 oil fill?

Hello everyone, I am very new to this platform so let me give y'all a rundown.

I purchased my wife's fathers corvette at a hefty discount after he passed. This 69 vette has a muncie 4 speed manual trans, but the motor was swapped from a 350 to a 427 11:0:01 drag motor. Now I emptied the oil from the pan, but upon further inspection the filler cap is a breather cap, but has a rubber gasket on the inside of the cap. I can't see any other fill point beyond my knowledge. I'm looking for help on weather I should pull the gasket out and fill with oil, or if I should be looking or a different fill point. This motor is definitely not stock either. I will post some photos of the motor soon, but if anyone can help please let me know.

Filling through the valve cover breather is fine.....
Take some pics and post them here......front stamp pad on the block and the 7 digit casting number on the drivers rear bellhousing......you could also pull a valve cover and there is a 6-7 digit number there too.....all of these things will be able to tell you a lot about the engine in question.

Unless i am not seeing correctly it looks like the bottom of the grommet was not cut off which means the breather isn't doing anything. if you are going to drive it on the street i would at least open the grommet so the breather will work or a better thing to do especially if the other valve cover has no hole in it would be to purchase another set of valve covers that you can set up a PCV system or at least put a breather on each side of the engine.

Does it have the stock oil pan or an aftermarket one ? Knowing how much the pan holds is the next question.

I was wondering to myself why there was no oil film under the breather on the valve cover. Those type of breathers always seem to expel oil-laden air onto the valve cover. I have one on my 350 and I have to clean off the oil periodically.
