1969 Heater Box Replace
Helping my brother with a complete 69 convertible restoration. Damn, what a project! Ha!
Have a couple of questions:
Does the firewall insulation need to be cutout for the heater box gasket or does the gasket go over the insulation?
Any thoughts on a source for the long "U" nut spring clips that retain the box to the firewall?
Thx
Vic

If memory serves, I believe the firewall insulation is trimmed only for factory air cars. Do you and your brother have the assembly instruction manual (AIM)?

Hey Mike
Yes, this is a factory air car.
He does have an AIM. The one with numerous diagrams and schematics. It wasn’t all that clear to us though.
