Rear clunk depending on if ground is leaning
Hi!
I get this rear end clunk when putting into gear depending on if the ground is leaning...
Sometimes this happens also on a straight ground.
What could cause this?
A friend told me "thatīs nothing to worry about, these us-muscle cars are supposed to do that" ?? Hmmm...I donīt know..
I may imagine this, but this seems to happend more often when you have been driving the car for while...it never happens on a "cold engine"

I assume you have an automatic and did you check the rear differential front bracket to frame bushings to see if they are rotted/damaged?

Hi MelWff!
Yes, I have an automatic.
I am not sure which bushings you mean, anyone got pics of the place where those bushings are located on the car?
Are those difficult to change?
What could happend if this "cluck" thing is left untreated??

U joint
Please check all six U-joints. Also check the differential rubber mount on the front of the rear. You could also have a bad shock or a trailing arm bushing going bad. Lastly, any unusual or different sound coming from the car should be investigated. Jerry
