I have read about a bunch of people using the Comaro rear belts in their early C3's, the problem is, those mount behind the seat on the wheel well.

Has anyone had success with the later years where the retractor is behind a trim panel?

If not, any other suggestions where I don't have to spend over $200 on a set? It's just the drivers belt that the spring is shot. I understand the safety aspect and what not, still hard to justify that kind of money if I can find another option that is nearly as safe for much less.
