I can tell you first hand experience with that shop and ole Ray Ray and how they completely destroyed my numbers matching block and much more. Good luck with your motor build and hope it lasts, a better choice would have been WFO Racing in Phx. He does all of Cordes Performance Racing motors exclusively. Kelly over at WFO knows a ton about motor builds and also happens to race on the new TV show No Prep Kings which is a spin off from Street Outlaws. He will be racing his own car this season on that show. Kelley runs a Dart 800 cu in BB with 4 kits and looks like a plumbers nightmare and hauls ***.
Ray is long gone and didn't mean to offend you and I am a woman. The word with elevation was almost zero. Wow

I hear nothing but good things about the Lunati Voodoo line of cams, and I have one in my motor currently.
I have a Lunati Bracket Master cam in my L82. It runs great. Has good vacuum to.

AFR 180's and 10.2:1 compression.

I have heard the same about the duration split with AFR's but can tell you my 355 has good bottom end, BIG mid Range, and strong power to 6,000 RPM. If there is a deficit using a split duration cam with AFR's, I would be shocked if there is any real world difference based on my motor which is monster for a SB V8 with 1 7/8 inch Long Tube headers. My builder who is an expert building GM V8's said the difference is VERY small and considering my engine should be in the 440-450 Gross HP range, i would never feel or note the difference on the street.
JB, your duration is very mild, so the 225 exhaust duration would never be so much as to hurt bottom and mid range power with the AFR heads. When you start getting into 240's and up duration it could become more of a factor. I've done testing with very high exhaust to intake flow percentages, much higher than AFR heads, that made best power and torque with less duration on the exhaust than the intake. Conversely, running more duration on the exhaust than intake with this high of exhaust percentages lost significant power throughout the entire powerband.
