Electrical nightmare
Get this...I have head lights but no interior power and no power to the starter solenoid. After checking the fuse box I notice that I don't have power to the fuses them selves but I do have power to the engine wiring harness. So then it's the ignition switch right. I replaced that last night and still nothing. For some reason I'm losing power between the ignition switch and the fuse box. But even if the ignition switch was bad I would still get courtesy lights right? It's like I have a broken wire somewhere or something.
If someone could please shed some light on this for me I would appreciate it very much.
Summary:
1.good power from the battery 18V.
2.Power to the engine wiring harness.
3. Power to the head lights.
4. Power to the ignition switch.
5. No power to the fuse box.
6. No power to anything interior, lights, radio etc.
Thank you so much..I was cursing my car last night. And I never do that.

I can't help you with your electrical problem, but one question:
Do you have an 18v battery? If you do, maybe that is why. You could easily fry the electrical components with 18v.
Just a thought, but probably it was just a typo. :)
Good luck, my electrical gremlins keep showing up. :(
I suggest to trouble shoot the electral "chain".
If you have power going to the Ignition switch, then do you have power coming from the ignition switch? Each turn of the ignition key repensents a different electral system and different wires.
I would suggest testing the voltage to and from of each circut.
If you do have 18v at the batt, you may be destroying electral componts. If componts are being destroyed, therefore shorts could be created. Besides glass fuses from 20+ years agao are not always the best.
I hope you made a human error and read the voltage on the batt incorrectley.
Dont feel bad I have done it before. I actually ran down my battery trying to start my car before I realised that the coil wire was disconnected.
cheers
