Default ZZ502 Starter Solenoid

Not having a good day!
Don't ask how but I broke a piece on my starter solenoid. My starter is PN 19302919 and I have spent hours trying to find a solenoid that will fit.
The starter is supposed to be for a BB from 1996 up but all that I find are not similar to mine.

Anyone have a part number for this solenoid?

Why not just replace the starter? 454 starters will spin a 502. Those mini starters are all the same, but all different as far as parts interchangability.

Look for a solenoid for a Delco PG260 series. This starter is used on other applications (not cars). A starter rebuilder shop can fix it. Might try a heavy truck or marine application.

Confused, if you can't access the starter because of the headers how are you going to replace the solenoid?

I do not have a 454 starter to compare with but I have been told that the 454 starter is too big to fit inside the headers.
Also, a solenoid is cheaper than an entire starter assembly.
Makes me mad that first I broke the solenoid and then that there is no readily available replacement for such a common item as a solenoid.

Ok you just need a mini starter. Yes the stock starters are very big. These new ones are much smaller. Looking at the part number it looks like your typical Hi Tq starter.

I'm using this one on my 496 under Hedman headers

They sell parts too.

I think what the O.P. is getting at is a mini starter is around $280. A solenoid from NAPA is around $28.
Try NAPA parts On-Line. See if anything looks good.

Mini starters start at 35 bucks. I won't mess with a big old Delco anymore. And I built them for a living...
