Finally I learned , both the LS6 and TorkerII intake do work on an LS5.
My 72 LS5 street car already had a TorkerII so I have no idea about the performance differences
from the stock oval intake to the LS6 to the TorkerII intake.
Did anybody had the chance to compare these 3 intakes on an engine like mine and can name pros an cons ?

My car:
1972, LS 5 block bored 0,40" over, 1970 10,25:1 LS 5 heads
Holley 3310, Comp.Cams 270° Roller, Sanderson Block Hugger headers
TH 400, MSD 8572/6420 ignition
idle 650
drive 1500- 4500
average used rpm band 1500-3500
max rpm 5500
