Hi, I’ve just taken delivery of my new Borgeson steering box conversion, and the steering box seal is damaged at the pitman arm connection. Great big tear in it. Is it an easy replacement?
I’m in the uk, it’s taken 3 weeks delivery, cars now stripped down, and just found this. I’m not sending it back, potentially 6 weeks plus lots of shipping costs. I’m well annoyed.

Does the Delphi 600 Borgeson box use the same pitman seal as the standard power steering box? I can get those easy enough.

Yes, I’ve emailed them, see what they say. Just worried it’ll be a send it back response.

I’m absolutely stunned. How on earth does this get past quality inspections?
Not only was the outer seal damaged, but the inner was all bent out of shape. You can see the rubber from the inner seal caught between the shaft and metal retaining ring.
None of this damage was caused during removal.
