1969 fuel lines replacement
Need advice on how to replace my fuel lines without taking body off frame. I remember taking body off my 75 many years ago and I don’t have the equipment or space in garage to accomplish on the 69.

You can't replace them in one piece without lifting the body.

Well when I lifted my 69 body , the PO had replaced the line and there was a join where the rear seat mount bolts are , looks like they fed the rear part down from inside the wheel well and then put that bend in it by hand (looks like) . It is just a straight section of pipe , no factory bends , joins onto another piece that went through the crossmember (manual car) I would say from the front of car . So one join and a lot of tweaking by hand to get it to sit clear and in the clamps .
It worked fine , just didn't look good . I never reused it ,still mounted to my old chassis.

Just buy good quality compression fittings that are suitable for fuels/oil and run additional line around any obstructions. As long as the added section of line[s] are not in physical jeopardy or subject to excessive vibration, all should be fine. If you are worried about rock/stone damage to the fuel line[s], make a little metal guard/shield for protection..

So, I removed 8 body mount bolts . Reinstalled 1,2,3 on drivers side. Went really easy. Welded up a channel that fits the rocker area so i can lift with a bottle jack. I am now concerned about jacking on the nose. Would a strap from radiator support to the T top area support the nose enough?

Ah , yes ok . I have seen it done with the strap to the windscreen surround , but to me it looks to be a too sharp of an angle to really actually support the weight,
this is what I did to my 77 when I completely lifted it off,
:
Notice the high tech dowel for rope tension adjustment !
If you have your frame immobilised so it cant move ,you could just put some wood chocks under it to steady it ,ideally someone to hold the clip and steady it while your using the jack so it doesn't get out of shape

What we do here....Remove the body mounts on the passenger side, the front/rear bumper braces and then remove the rocker panel.
We have a lifting strap with U brackets made on the ends. We then hook it where the rocker panel was removed and it goes at the furthest point on the back door and the front most in the front of the door opening. (The same place as shown in Bazza77's picture... right where those yellow straps are) \
We have a hoist in the ceiling of the building and attach the strap to it, you'll need lift it until you can get the Z bent area of the line in place. We only lift the passenger side if we are not pulling the body too... And I just spoke to Kevin in my shop and he said you can use a good old cherry picker to do the same thing. You only need to lift the passenger side even if you are doing the brake lines, you can replace brake lines without taking the body off.
You'll also want to make notes of how many shims were in what location if you attempt to do it this way. Shimming a body without knowing can be a royal pita.....
