Default kwik-lift - backing onto

For you kwik-lift users, have any of you backed onto them rather than driven forward. Since I'll be working on the rear and suspension it would be nice not to have the lift bar in the area. Forgive me if it's a dumb question but sometimes there are non-obvious issues to things which seem simple.

Sure, I backed my 69 up on it and removed the eng/trans, suspension.

Thanks Gary. I guess the key is if you back it on, don't back it off.

Good idea

i ended up putting yellow and black anti anti slip tape on the edges to make it easier to guid myself on. Also put this traction tape where the tires go. Made it much less of a fight driving on.

Yes, I park it with the lift on the floor (lay flat wood ramps) by backing onto it.. It is a little scary doing it with the incline stands attached to work on it (I have a four speed). Having a visual aid to center it on helps (in my case a Hydraulic shop press) and enough room to leave the Drivers Door open so you can watch.

It would sure be interesting in reverse with a manual trans. Had the L82 been available with a 4 speed in 1980 no doubt I'd be dealing with issue too.
