Default Idler pulley clearances

1969 427-390hp factory air but the PO added power steering to the car, wondering if anyone has had the same problem that I seem to be experiencing with the idler pulley being so close to the power steering pump pulley that when the car comes up to running temp, they actually rub in turn make a squealing noise, similar to a brake squeal. Looks to me like the idler pulley needs to be pressed in a little further on the shaft approximately an 1/8” and I would have more than enough clearance, but I should not have to do that to make this work. All the parts seem to be very correct so any suggestions would be appropriated.
