As you probably already know you have a number of choices in hood designs but I would not put a black hood on that car, pin stripes in silver, looks like your car is dark red, to enhance the hood.

When I get customer with wild ideas about what they think will look good or what ever. I tell them to photoshop their ideas onto a photo of their car and actually see what it will look like. You might find your idea works for you and then you might see what you are picturing in your mind does not look good when it is applied in a photo.
The reason I say this is that I have pained some really wild ideas that customers had and some of them when they come to pick it up. They hated it and wanted me to change it and expected me to not charge them for their initial design that they so desperately wanted me to paint for them. Now some of them just loved it even though it was not to my taste.....which does not matter due to it is not my car.

good rule of thumb is 4 shades, meaning to contrast colors to not exceed 4 shades lighter /darker, to go with black hood you would want rear spoiler and ground effects to all match the black hood imo, then your talking a symmetrical look, just having one body piece a totally different color seldom contrasts rather it clashes. just my 2 cents, is your car and I encourage you to try anything you want, but I wouldn't go thyat extreme personally.
