Blew Dome Light Fuse, Now Only works with switch
I was messing with my headliner on my 81, removed the dome light and accidentally let the 2 wires touch. It popped the courtesy light fuse. After replacing the fuse, the dome light only works if you turn the light switch. It doesn't come on when you open the door anymore. Everything worked perfect until I messed it up. Is there another fuse? Possible I burned up timer? Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

You didn't say what year the car was but considering you removed the T molding I'll guess 74 or newer. There orange wire at the dome lamp and ground wire both made contact... so my guess would be that you have an issue with the door jamb switch(s) from arching the power to the ground. The dome circuit is hot all the time waiting for ground which is supplied by the dome lamp (white wire) switch grounds.
So I'd pull the switches and jumper them to ground and see if the issue is there. Remember when you install the switch back in place to reverse wind the wires so that once installed they'll be fine.

Use a test light and put clip on negative . See if you have positive at dome light? If not check the fuse again. Could be corroded clips. Use test light and see if positive is on both sides
