Default ET mags vs VWW

Is there any preference or pros/cons between these two wheels? They look pretty similar and both offer 17x11 with custom offset and they are within $20 of each other price wise. Any opinions one way or the other?

Curious as well. I'm interested in these wheels in the future as well.

the finish of the spokes between the two rims seems the same, sort of shiny metallic grey?

One rim looks chrome plated steel. The other polished aluminum.

Interested as well, was looking just a few weeks ago. Problem I have is rear flares and filling them. Not sure of their measurement system, does setting mean spacing? I can't see paying almost 600 for those wheels to get under a 5.00 back space and the cheap 1 piece is only 5.5 back space or more....

I’m not sure if it costs extra to have custom backspace. On the website the price stays at 465 and then I chose the option of custom for back spacing. I actually didn’t confirm with them if the price increases from 465 if I go with custom backspace which I have to because I need 4.5 front and 4 rear.

If the cost is any higher than 465 then we would be better off going with et mags since their 17x11 with custom backspace is $479 I believe

how big are the flares on your car? I fellow member here provided me with the 17x11 with 4” backspace to fill the rear 4” rally flares. If you look on the VWW gallery there is a yellow C3 and the rears on that are 17x11 with 3.75” backspace

My 2 cents. The ET has the look of a little more brawn Vs the other looks a tad bit refined ?
Which ever you choose will look great I'm sure.

not exactly sure (they look huge to me) it had some Rocket Racing Torque Thrust style w/N50 on it with a few spacers to get it out and I think away from the brakes too. It's been neglected since I got it.... Getting ready to focus on it here soon. Got an ls1 camaro finishing up a turbo kit on.

I purchased a set of each of these wheels for my 73 in 17" X 8" X 4" bs.
The first set I purchased was the Trans Am Superlites.
They were a really nice wheel, both in looks and quality.
I was very happy with them.
Upon opening one of the boxes to inspect the wheels I noticed the incorrect lug patten was shipped with one wheel.
I called the manufacturer and he promptly returned a replacement wheel which was also the wrong lug pattern.
I called, they apologized and replaced the wheel, again the wrong lug pattern.
I returned all four wheels and was upset because I really liked the wheels as they were period correct for my 73.
I remembered seeing the ET Team III wheels and ordered a set from the manufacturer.
Upon their arrival I found their quality was equal to the Trans Am wheels, however the wheel center had a better finish and the rims had a higher quality polish.
Both are great wheels, the Trans Ams were duller finish, giving them a more race appearence over the Team III wheels and the Teams III were more a show finished wheel.
I guess it would depend on the look you are after.
Team III will custom build their wheels in any width and backspace, and If you decide to go to a different bs or width, they will give you the option to return the never mounted wheels and either swap them out or rebuild your wheels to the new specs.

My $0.02 worth...I like the E-Ts better because their spokes seem to have a little more "curve" to them, more like the Minilite wheels, which they're styled after.

yes very much agree, just adds more depth to the look of the wheel.

Me too. I prefer the spoke design over the VVW. Also I bought a custom back space order from Team III and the customer service was great.
